Walmart & Sam’s Club Reaches New Heights for UVM Children’s Hospital!

Another successful campaign has come to a close this summer thanks to our incredible partners at Walmart and Sam’s Clubs all around northern New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire! This year’s roundup campaign raised an astounding $82,251 that ensures UVM Children’s Hospital is able to provide the highest quality, child-friendly care to our community. This is all thanks to the dedication of the employees at these stores who make hundreds, if not thousands, of asks during this campaign in order to help change kids’ health to change the future.

A huge shoutout to each of our supporting state’s top stores during this campaign, UVM Children’s Hospital is so grateful for all you did to reach these totals!

New York: Plattsburgh store #1994 raised $13,770

Vermont: Rutland store #2530 raised $12,475

New Hampshire: Claremont store #1975 raised $6,463

We also wanted to give a special highlight to our amazing partners at the Ticonderoga, NY store where their team turned compassion into action yet another year in raising funds outside of campaign season for our radiothon, the 98.9 WOKO Big Change Roundup for Kids. This annual participation in Big Change Roundup stems from a personal connection to a former patient and long-time participant in BCRU, Billie Jo Vradenburg. Inspired by the memory of Billie Jo Vradenburg, a former patient and beloved fundraiser.

We’re incredibly thankful for the dedication of our partners at Walmart and Sam’s Club. Their passion fuels real change, and we can’t wait to witness the powerful impact the 2025 campaign will bring to children and families in the year ahead.
