University of Vermont Student Group RALLYTHON Raises $101,184.33 for UVM Children’s Hospital
Burlington, VT- On March 29th, hundreds of UVM students, faculty, and community members danced the night away to raise funds and awareness for UVM Children’s Hospital. RALLYTHON, UVM’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon, raised $101,184.33 by the end of the evening, and on Monday, April 14th, 2025 the RALLYTHON student leadership team will present a check to UVM Children’s Hospital’s Chief of Pediatrics, Dr. Lewis First at UVM Medical Center.
This was the 10th anniversary of RALLYTHON’s event, and if that was not enough reason to celebrate, it was also revealed at midnight that they had reached a major milestone of having raised a cumulative total of over $1 million for University of Vermont Children’s Hospital in their decade on campus.
RALLYTHON is part of a movement of over 300+ colleges and universities across the country who come together to raise money for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Funds raised by RALLYTHON support UVM Children’s Hospital’s special programs, services, life-saving equipment, education, research, and most notably, their Child Life Program – a program specially tailored to help children and their families feel a sense of “normalcy” in an otherwise scary time.
RALLYTHON is planned and executed by a committee of 20 students from across campus. They are extremely thankful to their local community partners that help make their event the success that it is, especially their top sponsors this year, Redstone Lofts & Spinner Place and Shaw’s.
“The passion these students bring to this event year over year is really remarkable, and we are so lucky to have their support. They are a lifeline for our community” said Wendy Finn, Community Fundraising Specialist for the UVM Medical Center Foundation.
